Allotoma cornifrons Roepke
Allotoma
cornifrons Roepke,
1944, Natuurh. Maandbl., 33: 4.
Diagnosis. The facies is dark brown-grey, the forewing rather coarsely scaled, with
a dark discal spot and faint, straight fasciae as illustrated. The head and
anterior part of the thorax are rufous. Though the facies is not unlike that of
some Nygmiini, the antennae are more narrowly and densely bipectinate than in
any nygmiine.
Geographical range. Borneo, Sumatra, Peninsular Malaysia.
Habitat
preference. All three Bornean specimens were taken in the lowlands, in both
forested and agricultural areas. The holotype was from S.E. Kalimantan, the
other specimens from Brunei (Kilanas Agricultural Station and Ulu Temburong ).
