"Euproctis” pseudoarna sp. n. [2286]

"Euproctis” pseudoarna
(paratype)

13mm, 15mm. In facies the species resembles flavolimbatulana Strand (Java) in its yellow-bordered grey wings and two subapical black spots on the forewing. However, flavolimbatulana has the yellow zone of the forewing broader, a paler tone, and less diffusely demarcated from the basal grey area which is slightly darker, and male genitalia typical of Arna (See Arna Walker Gen. rev.). The male genitalia of pseudoarna are closer to those of Nygmia species in the digitate uncus and robust build, though the valve structure, with a spur in the centre of the costa, is unusual and the aedeagus is short, curved, with an immaculate vesica. The abdomen has tymbals.
