Diagnosis. There are elongate, spatulate scales on the forewing dorsum. Both sexes
have dark brown forewings with the fasciae whitish, the postmedial with a darker
brown area distally at the dorsum. The male has the medial area a paler rufous
brown, whereas in the female it is dark brown.
Geographical range. Borneo.
Habitat preference. The only two specimens were taken at 1500m in the
Mesilau area of the Pinosuk Plateau of G. Kinabalu. The majestic montane forest
growing there at the time has since been cleared for agriculture, horticulture
and a golf course.
