Diagnosis. The configuration of the brownish shading of the forewing is
unmistakable, mostly medial, but with extensions at one third and two thirds
into the submarginal yellow, and broadly along the dorsum basad. The male
genitalia and eighth abdominal tergite are as in the next species.
Geographical range. Borneo.
Habitat preference. All records are from Mesilau at 1500m on the Pinosuk
Plateau of G. Kinabalu. The lofty montane forest in this area was cleared for
agriculture and leisure development a few years after the collections were made.
