Toxoproctis hemixanthoides sp.
n.
15mm, 17mm. The facies is very similar to that of (See
Artaxa
hemixantha) , but the male genitalia are typical of Toxoproctis species
in the munda group. Apart from facies differences, the species is larger,
with deeper, more apically produced forewings than other members of the munda
group.
Holotype BRUNEI: 1670m, Bukit Pagon, montane forest, Feb 1982 (Allen &
Harman), BM lymantriid slide 2273.
Paratype As
holotype.
Geographical range. Borneo.
Habitat preference. Both specimens are from upper montane forest.
