14-15mm. This species has facies as in borneogena but with a dark brown spot set much more anteriorly in the yellow of the hindwing. The most distal of the two posterior yellow spots of the forewing is narrower and more oblique than in the two close relatives. The male genitalia have the valves subequal and strongly tapering. The aedeagus vesica has a group of cornuti set on a lateral lobe rather than on the main part, which may also bear a few.

Holotype Sintang, BORNEO, inland of Pontianak, Dec. 1909 (Dr Martin) BM arctiid slide 4157.

Paratypes. 3 N. BORNEO, Tamparuli, 13.vii. 1963 (H. Barlow) BM 1964-303, BM arctiid slide 4158.

Other material. 10 ex. various localities, Sabah, Sarawak, Brunei.

Geographical range. Borneo.

Habitat preference. Most specimens have been taken in the understorey of lowland rainforest. The species is infrequent.
