Diagnosis. This is a large species with the wings of the male mostly transparent
except for a black bar at the end of the forewing cell and an irregular black
apical zone. In the female the apical zone of both wings is more extensive, and
the bar at the end of the cell is broader, more irregular, with a narrow black
band along vein CuA1 connecting it with a marginal black area between the
cubital branches. The abdomen is irregularly ringed with dull yellow.
Taxonomic note. Obraztsov (1957) published a full syonymy of this species.
Geographical range. Indian Subregion to S. China, Taiwan and Sundaland.
Habitat preference. Bornean material is restricted to two males and a
female from G. Kinabalu.
