Diagnosis. This species has reduced forewing spotting relative to other taxa. The
discal spot is a minute dot in the holotype, a small square in the other
specimen seen; there are three distal patches, two adjacent, divided by vein M3;
there is a single patch posterior to CuA2. The hindwing has a subbasal patch and
a double distal one. The species resembles somewhat the next, with reduced
spotting, but the basal white ring of the abdomen is restricted to lateral
patches rather than being entire, and the male genitalia are distinct.
Geographical range. Borneo.
Habitat preference. The holotype female is from Limbang, in the lowlands
of northern Sarawak .A male has been taken at 300m in primary forest, Ulu
Temburong, Brunei.
