Diagnosis.
This and the
next species are very similar, but orbiferana
is slightly smaller, with duller forewings and darker hindwings. Males are
most readily distinguished, as this species has ciliate antennae and the next
has bipectinate ones.
Geographical
range. Sri
Lanka, India, Burma, Peninsular Malaysia, Singapore, Borneo.
Habitat
preference. The
species is uncommon, taken mostly in lowland forest, though one specimen was
taken at 1200m in an area of scrub and pinnacle karst on the limestone G. Api.
