Darantasia seria sp. n.

Darantasia seria (paratype)
(x 1.63)

9-10mm. The yellow markings are a more intense colour and more extensive than in cuneiplena, resembling more those of pardalina Felder (Sula Is., Sulawesi) in their general disposition and shape. Distinctive features are the anterior expansion of the marginal yellow patch into a more triangular form than seen in the other species, and the form of the two yellow patches on the hindwing (more anterior and smaller in cuneiplena, fused into a single patch in pardalina). The male genitalia are very similar to those of cuneiplena, but the uncus apex is more acute and lacks lateral spines.
