Diagnosis. See
the generic description; the unusual shape to the wings and the black patch on
the grey forewing are diagnostic.
Taxonomic note. This
species is misspelt ‘fuscipennana’ in Hampson (1900) and Watson,
Fletcher & Nye (1980).
Geographical
range. Borneo.
Habitat preference. This
is a rare species of lowland forest, all three specimens taken during the Mulu
survey being at 150m or below. The holotype was taken by A.R. Wallace in
Sarawak.
