Eugoa
uniformis sp. n.
,
7-8mm. The forewings are
speckled brown as indeclaratana, but more coarsely so and lacking a
discal dot. The hindwings are greyish brown in both sexes, but the males still
have a paler, modified zone anteriorly on the hindwing. The male antennae are
bipectinate rather than ciliate. The male genitalia lack the setose, quadrifid
transtilla structure of indeclaratana, and have the valves narrower,
slightly tapering and with a somewhat angular ventral margin to the sacculus.
The aedeagus vesica contains three cornuti, more slender than those of indeclaratana.
The female has a much simpler sterigma.
