Diagnosis and taxonomic
note. The species has pale brown
forewings, lightly fasciated, with diagnostically strong curvature to the basal
part of the costa. The hindwings are darker, greyer. The male genitalia have
unusual features such as tongue-like projections from the tegumen, a large,
pod-like juxta, and a spiny, cucullate apex to the valve. The female has a
marked appendix bursae as seen in some of the species groups treated first.
Geographical range. Borneo,
Peninsular Malaysia (MARDI colln), Sumatra, Java (NNM, Leiden).
Habitat preference. All
recent material has been taken in forest below 600m: singletons from Poring and
Sook in Sabah, from Labi in Brunei and from Semongok near Kuching.
