Diagnosis. The
conspicuous, pale rufous buff scale patch of the male forewing is diagnostic.
Both sexes have rather oval forewings that are buff, crossed by diffuse, darker
brown fasciae medially and submarginally.
Geographical range. Borneo.
Habitat preference. Records
were infrequent in lowland and lower montane forest to 1000m during the Mulu
survey. The species was originally taken in Sarawak by A.R. Wallace, and there is
material from S.E. Borneo and Pulo Laut.
