Poliosia
sp. 5463
There may be yet a fourth
species in the muricolor group with facies like muricolor. This
has a bifid juxta but a narrow uncus and broad valves with the cleft separating
the broad saccular process from the rest relatively short. The aedeagus vesica
is deep, with a large cornutus as in bifida, but part of the depth is
produced by a distinct spherical lateral lobe. The only specimen is from Poring
at 600m on the eastern side of G. Kinabalu, a locality where both muricolor
and quadrifida also occur.
