8mm. The facies is as in microfulvia,
perhaps more strongly shaded orange-red, but the species has distinct male
genitalia. These have the tegumen distinctly broadened apically, nearing a
bilobed structure ventrally, with the uncus reduced to a small spur. The
valves are simple, rather spatulate, with a slight ridge running into the
distal expansion. The aedeagus is short, shallowly S-shaped.
Holotype
BRUNEI:
15m, Telisai, sandy heath forest and Gymnostoma, 3.2. 1979 (Lt. Col.
M.G. Allen), BM arctiid slide 5145.
Geographical range. Borneo.
Habitat preference. The
only specimen is from lowland heath forest.
