Canucha specularis Moore;
Watson, 1968: 99; Holloway, 1976: 93.
Diagnosis. This is probably the largest Bornean drepanid. The dull dark green and
brown colouration and somewhat striate texture give the appearance of a dry dead
leaf, with two hyaline patches just distal to the centre of the hindwing
postmedial line. The forewing is strongly falcate, the costa angled at two
thirds.
Geographical range. Indian Subregion, S. China, Sundaland, Sulawesi.
Habitat preference. The species is infrequent in forested habitats from
the lowlands to 1930m, including an area of swamp and Agathis forest in
Brunei.
