Diagnosis. The forewing has a broad, angled medial band, with a pale area basal to
it, with a similar, but more sinuous band on the hindwing. The hindwing
postmedial is fine, pale, shallowly but regularly curved. Translucent areas
occur in the centre of both fore- and hindwings just interior to the postmedials.
Geographical range. Borneo, Peninsular Malaysia.
Habitat preference. The two specimens taken in recent surveys were
from forest at 270m on limestone near the Melinau Gorge and from lowland forest
(30-60m) at Labi in Brunei. Older material is from Sandakan and Pulo Laut, also
lowland localities.
