Diagnosis. The species occurs in grey and olive-buff forms, and, with its congener
below, can be distinguished from other greyish 'hook-tips' by the presence
of dark antemedial fasciae as well as postmedial ones on both wings. N.
duplicata is larger than the next species, with the fasciae closer together,
the postmedial often doubled.
Geographical range. N.E. Himalaya, W. China, Borneo.
Habitat preference. This is an infrequent upper montane species,
ranging from 1465m to 2110m, known from Bukit Retak in Brunei, G. Mulu and G.
Kinabalu.
