10,12mm. The facies is somewhat similar to that of pustularia, but
only the hindwing has a dark brown medial band broken by paler veins, the latter
more regular and longitudinal. The forewing hyaline areas are relatively
reduced, and dark brown markings are restricted to broken, irregularly curved
post- and antemedials. The male genitalia have rather splayed digitate socii.
The interior processes of the valves are more complex than in altipustularia.
In pustularia they consist of long, slender spines, the left one
twice the length of the right. The distal margins of the eighth sclerites are
characteristically lobed.
