Strepsigonia diluta

Diagnosis.
This is a pale ochreous fawn species with forewings simply falcate in both sexes. The fine fasciation is more clearly defined than in other Bornean species, the hindwing postmedial straighter over its posterior half. The forewing apex and fringes of both wings are darker. On the underside there are broad, dark postmedials.

Taxonomic notes. The genitalia of specimens through the range of the species are inseparable, hence the synonymy above: diluta has page priority.

Geographical range. N.E. Himalaya, China, Taiwan, Java, Sumatra (ZSM), Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo, Seram.

Habitat preference. The species is rare with only four specimens recorded in recent surveys: three from lower montane forest at 1000m on G. Mulu; one from 1618m on Bukit Retak, Brunei.
