Diagnosis. The forewings are bifalcate as in affinis Warren, but the colour
is dark, dull greyish brown, with the fasciae characteristic of the genus rather
obscure. The hindwings of the male have the tornus diagnostically produced,
whereas in the female they have an obtuse central angle.
Taxonomic notes. The two species-group names were based on different sexes; trigonoptera
on males and placida on females.
Geographical range. Burma, Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo.
Habitat preference. During the Mulu survey the species was taken
infrequently in lowland forest, particularly heath forest.
