Chionoplema psara sp. n.
11mm. The species is mottled and marked with brownish grey on a paler
ground of the same colour. The forewing is generally stippled with the darker
colour except for a circular basal zone where the stippling is less intense. The
hindwing has a distinctive, subcircular basal zone clear of marking that is
bounded by narrow dark brown lines, distal to which is a grey, banded zone
extending to the margin. The genitalia are very similar to those of smarti and
paradeicta, but the facies is diagnostic.
