Diagnosis. The species has a general appearance as in dealbata but is
distinguished by a creamier ground colour and generally more intense brown
striation. The forewing postmedial is more linear, less clouded. The male
genitalia have a longer row of paddle-scales on the valve, a broader, more
robust T-shaped juxta and no distinct cornuti amongst the scobination of the
aedeagus vesica.
Taxonomic notes. This species has been placed as a synonym of D. conflictaria Walker
(e.g. as listed by Nielsen, Edwards & Rangsi (1996)), but is unrelated. See
comments under dealbata above on similar-looking material from Java and
Luzon.
Geographical range. Borneo.
Habitat preference. The species is rare, but ranges from the lowlands to
the upper montane zone (1620m on G. Kinabalu).
