Diagnosis. See Eumelea rosalia Stoll.
Taxonomic notes. The names grouped in synonymy above have genitalic features generally as
indicated for feliciata in the diagnosis of rosalia. Sommerer
(1995) kept semirosea and marginata distinct from feliciata on
the grounds of differences in the gnathus of the male genitalia: apically more
acute in the more eastern taxa.
Geographical range. N.E. Himalaya, Sumatra and offshore islands, Borneo,
(ssp. rosans), [Sula Is., Sulawesi (marginata); Moluccas (semirosea,
phoenissa)].
Habitat preference. The only recent specimen was from montane forest on
Bukit Retak, Brunei.
