Diagnosis. The bifalcate forewings, their dark dull green ground with large
subtornal pale leprous patch are distinctive. The hindwings are tailed, a
similar dark green, with a broad central band of fawn colour, reticulated
darker.
Geographical range. Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo.
Habitat preference. A rare species of montane forest, energes has been recorded
from 1000m to 1930m on G. Kinabalu, from 1000m (four specimens) on G. Mulu and
from 1618m on Bukit Retak.
