Agathia
rubrilineata Warren
Agathia rubrilineata Warren,
1896, Novit. zool. 3: 362.
Agathia ithearia Swinhoe, 1905, Ann. Mag. nat. Hist. (7) 15:
166, syn. n.
Agathia aequisecta Swinhoe,
1906, Ann. Mag. nat. Hist. (7) 17: 380.
Agathia klossi Prout, 1931, Novit. zool. 37: 5.
Diagnosis. See Agathia
deliciosa Holloway & Sommerer. The green patches have a more marked
pale edging than in other species.
Taxonomic notes. The suggestion of Prout (1932, Gross-Schmett. Erde 12: 71)
that ithearia is an aberrant female of rubrilineata is considered
to be correct: the genitalia match those of the holotype female of aequisecta.
The valves of the male genitalia of rubrilineata and ssp. aequisecta
were illustrated by Holloway & Sommerer (1984).
Geographical range. Borneo, Sumatra; Siberut (ssp. klossi); Java (ssp. aequisecta).
Habitat preference. Only two specimens have been taken in recent surveys, at 500m (hill
dipterocarp forest) and 1000m (lower montane forest) on G. Mulu.
