Agathia rubrilineata

Diagnosis.
See Agathia deliciosa Holloway & Sommerer. The green patches have a more marked pale edging than in other species.

Taxonomic notes. The suggestion of Prout (1932, Gross-Schmett. Erde 12: 71) that ithearia is an aberrant female of rubrilineata is considered to be correct: the genitalia match those of the holotype female of aequisecta. The valves of the male genitalia of rubrilineata and ssp. aequisecta were illustrated by Holloway & Sommerer (1984).

Geographical range. Borneo, Sumatra; Siberut (ssp. klossi); Java (ssp. aequisecta).

Habitat preference. Only two specimens have been taken in recent surveys, at 500m (hill dipterocarp forest) and 1000m (lower montane forest) on G. Mulu.
