Diagnosis. This species is immediately recognisable by the strong, but
diffuse, green and white barring to the wings.
Taxonomic notes. A similar taxon from Sulawesi, (slide 17561) and Seram is probably
best treated as a subspecies of viridifascia. The male genitalia are very
similar, but the Sulawesi species dissected has a single, rather than multiply
spined distal spur, and squarer, less marginally serrate basal sclerotisation to
the valve.
Geographical range. Borneo; Sulawesi, Seram.
Habitat preference. The species is very rare, known from G. Kinabalu only. A single
female was taken at 1050m at Kundasan in 1965 (Holloway, 1976).
