Diagnosis. This is the most Hemithea-like of
the Bornean species, but the white fasciae are more linear than in that genus.
The male genitalia are diagnostic, with the saccular process of the valve
unusually globular and coarsely scobinate.
Taxonomic notes. Only a female is known from Borneo, but
its genitalia correspond well with those of a typical Himalayan specimen. The
saccular feature and general facies are shared by I. ussuriaria, the
Chinese I. mundaria Leech and the Himalayan I. planata Prout.
Geographical range. N.E. Himalaya, Peninsular Malaysia,
Borneo.
Habitat preference. The single Bornean specimen is from Pulo
Laut, a low lying island at the north of Borneo.
