Zeuzera

Barlow, 1982: 43.
Diagnosis. This is the largest Bornean species; the specimen illustrated is
relatively small. Black markings over the distal half of the forewing are sparse
and linear on the veins rather than transverse between them. There is a large
black spot in the centre of the forewing cell.
Geographical range. Indian Subregion to New Guinea and Queensland.
Habitat preference. The species was taken infrequently in hill
dipterocarp and alluvial forest during the Mulu survey.
Biology. Roepke (1957) recorded the larva as boring in the trunk of the tree Phoebe
(Lauraceae), and Gardner (1945) noted it from Litsea in the same
family.
