7mm, 7mm. The wings of both sexes are finely speckled red on pale
yellow, the red intensifying at the margin, though the fringes also include
yellow. There is a small but conspicuous white discal spot on the hindwing, a
small red one on the forewing. Both wings have strongly flexed postmedials
relatively close to the margins, where the red is finely intensified with a fine
edging of clearer yellow distad. In the male genitalia the valve spine has a
lateral spur as in C. conversata, but the facies is distinctive
within the genus, and the uncus also has unusual and diagnostic lateral rugose
processes, one on each side at the junction with the tegumen.
