Diagnosis. The orange-yellow ground colour is unique amongst Bornean species of the
Cyclophora complex. There is some variablility, with specimens having
expanded and blackened discal spots or black streaks on the veins within the
fasciae.
Taxonomic notes. The species has a spined bursa copulatrix and most of the other
subgeneric features.
Geographical range. Borneo, S. Moluccas, New Guinea.
Habitat preference. All records are from G. Kinabalu over a range of
1500-2600m, but commonest at 1930m in the upper montane zone.
