Diagnosis. See Syncosmia xanthocomes

Geographical range. Borneo.
Habitat preference. The species is common between 1930m and 2600m on G.
Kinabalu, occurring sporadically down to 1200m. On G. Mulu it was taken singly
at 1790m.
