Diagnosis. The wings are a warm dove grey, the fasciae regular, slightly darker than the ground. The fringes are invested with pale yellow and there is a double spot of the same colour postmedially on the forewing at one third from the costa.

Taxonomic notes. Four somewhat larger male specimens from G. Kinabalu in BMNH (one from just over 1500m) proved not to have genitalia distinguishable from those of typical plumbacea. One is illustrated in the above, together with a typical specimen.

Geographical range. Borneo, Mentawi Is.

Habitat preference. Apart from the Kinabalu specimens mentioned above, most material is from lowland localities. During the Mulu survey most specimens were taken in dipterocarp forest on limestone at 250m (lower slopes of G. Api).
