Phthonoloba
bracteola Holloway
Phthonoloba bracteola Holloway,
1976: 71.
Phthonoloba fasciata Moore;
Holloway, 1976: 72.
Diagnosis. The forewings have a golden orange appearance against a straw ground
colour, because dark brown fasciation is much reduced compared to congeners.
Taxonomic notes. Reexamination of the two females attributed to fasciata by
Holloway (1976) suggests that they are better placed with bracteola. However,
a male of a second species of the group from 1200m at Kundasang on the slopes
of G. Kinabalu was noted in the Herbulot collection too late for inclusion.
