Diagnosis. This species is larger than bracteola, much more heavily fasciated
with dark brown, but usually with conspicuous pale bands of rather satiny, bone-coloured scales.
Taxonomic notes. This and the next two species comprise the section of the genus endemic
to Borneo mentioned in the generic description.
Geographical range. Borneo.
Habitat preference. Like the previous species, this is only known from G.
Kinabalu where it is rare from 1930m to 2600m.
