Phthonoloba caliginosa Holloway,

Diagnosis. The largest species in the genus, P. caliginosa is similar in
marking to P. stigmatophora, but with a general blackish suffusion and no
distinctly paler fasciae on the forewing. The male genitalia are diagnostic.
Geographical range. Borneo.
Habitat preference. The unique holotype male was taken at 2600m on G.
Kinabalu.
