Diagnosis. This is a smaller species and much less sexually dimorphic than the
other two, with the medial bar pale brown and the zone between it and the
postmedial only grading darker distad gently. The postmedial is more regularly
angled at about one third from the costa, and the forewing margin is slightly
bifalcate.
Geographical range. Himalaya, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Burma, Peninsular
Malaysia, Java, Borneo.
Habitat preference. Prout (1932c) noted a female from Marei Parei (1600m)
on G. Kinabalu. There is a further female in USNM (illustrated) taken at 1500m
in a locality 25km north of Tambunan in Sabah.
