Tasta acornutata sp. n.
Tasta acornutata

12-13mm. In facies the species resembles reflexoides, but with
the forewing post- and antemedials more distinct. In the genitalia the valves
are rather narrow rectangular, with three major digitate processes at about two
thirds and further minor ones just distally from these and more basally at about
one third where the sclerotised band begins to traverse the valve towards the
transtilla. The vinculum is somewhat ‘Y’ shaped as in micaceata but
with the structure relatively broader over the ‘stalk’ and ‘arms’ and
less deeply cleft. The aedeagus lacks cornuti in the vesica, but has a
diverticulum that is slightly more sclerotised and convolute at the apex as in micaceata
but not so well developed.
