Diagnosis. The fasciation, particularly the almost straight submarginal band of the
hindwing, is distinctive.
Taxonomic notes. This and the next species have weakly bipectinate male antennae and an
unusual, almost serrate margin to the valve in the male genitalia.
Geographical range. N.E. Himalaya, Taiwan, Indochina, Borneo, Sumatra,
Philippines, Sulawesi, S. Moluccas, New Guinea.
Habitat preference. Most records were from wet heath forest (kerangas)
during the Mulu survey, but a few were taken in lower montane forest and in
lowland limestone forest.
