Diagnosis. The ground colour is white, mottled with vinous grey, and there are
regular, dentate, brown postmedial fasciae parallel to the wing margins. The
next species is more heavily irrorated over the whole surface of the wings. On
the underside acribomena has the forewing submarginal dark band always
separated from the margin and tornus by a band of whitish ground colour, whereas
in vinacea the band usually extends to the tornus. The male genitalia
provide clear diagnosis.
Geographical range. Sumatra, Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo, ?Philippines.
Habitat preference. During the Mulu survey all records were from lower
montane forest, at 1000m on G Mulu and 900m on G. Api.
