Diagnosis. The wings are relatively uniform, dull greenish brown colour, speckled
darker.
Geographical range. S.E. Asia, Sundaland; Philippines (ssp. luzonensis
Fletcher); Sulawesi (ssp. fuliginata Fletcher).
Habitat preference. The species appears to be rare, one being taken in 10
year regenerating alluvial forest near the G. Mulu National Park and the other
at 1200m on G. Kinabalu in an area where there is extensive cultivation.
