quadrinata Guenée
Cassyma quadrinata Guenée,
1857, Hist. nat. Insectes, Spec. Gen. Lep. 10:18.
Heterostegane gammata Warren,
1901, Novit. zool. 8:197.
Diagnosis. This species is larger than its congeners and one of only two with a
pale yellow ground colour. It could be confused with species of Heterostegane
Hampson, but these are also much smaller and have a rounded, rather than
angled, hindwing margin.
Geographical range. Borneo, Sumatra, Peninsular Malaysia.
Habitat preference. The species is infrequent, mostly taken in lowland
rain forest, but one specimen was recorded in lower montane forest (1000m) on G.
Mulu.
