sciticincta Walker
Ingena sciticincta Walker,
1863, List Specimens lepid. Insects Colln Br. Mus., 26: 1571.
Lomographa sciticincta Walker;
Holloway, 1976: 83.
Diagnosis. The wings are grey with strong, reddish sinuous and crenulate fasciae,
the antemedial, medial and postmedial of the forewing being widely and
approximately evenly spaced. In chrotodon Prout and chrotadelpha Sommerer
& Stüning, the medial is displaced towards the postmedial on the forewing,
and the discal spot is prominent, and in undifasciata all three fasciae
are displaced distally, with the medial and postmedial very strongly crenulate.
Geographical range. Borneo, Sumatra, Peninsular Malaysia.
Habitat preference. Records show the species to be infrequent in lowland
and lower montane forest.
