Luxiaria
prouti Debauche
Luxiaria prouti Debauche, 1941, Mem. Mus. Hist. nat. Belg.
(2), 22: 26.
Diagnosis. This is much smaller than any other of the pale fawn and yellow Luxiaria
species. The zone between the postmedial and submarginal is pale grey-
brown. The postmedials are marked with small dark spots on the veins, with that
on forewing vein M1 diagnostically larger. The punctation is also conspicuous on
the underside but more even, and the zone distal to it a much darker brown. In
the male genitalia, the aedeagus has a strong apical spine but only a weak
cornutus. The subapical flange to the ventral arm of the valve is roughly
triangular with a prominent spur on the basal side.
Geographical range. Sulawesi, Philippines (Mindanao; in USNM), Java,
Borneo.
Habitat preference. The single Bornean specimen seen is a female from
Samarinda, in the lowlands of Kalimantan.
