Microplutodes Gen.
n.
Type species: hilaropa Meyrick.
This genus has facies consisting of several irregular bands or rows of
spots in reddish orange or grey on the yellow ground. The male genitalia are
modified as described in the account of the tribe and provide the definitive
characteristics for the genus.
Apart from the type species, the genus includes M. tristis Swinhoe
comb. n. (Talaut, Luzon), M. iridaria Debauche comb. n. (Sulawesi) and a
further undescribed species from Sulawesi (slide 13123).
