Crinocula
Jordan
Type
species: kinabaluensis Rothschild.
This
is a genus of one species endemic to Borneo. In facies it resembles some species
of Scrobigera and Fleta Jordan (restricted to Sumatra and Java),
these genera belonging to the previous group. But the male genitalia are
distinct, with the slender uncus, the suprascaphium and the tegumen relatively
short, the valves of even width with the harpe extending to the rounded apex of
the valve as in Australian genera such as Agarista Leach, Apine Walker,
Entrichopidia Hampson and Agaristodes Hampson; these make up part
of Subgroup 6 of Kiriakoff (1977).
The
female genitalia are typical of the subfamily.
