Taxonomic
notes. The
facies and male genitalia indicate this species is a Prometopus. The
lateral lobe to the aedeagus vesica is much shorter than in albistigma and
bears a much smaller cluster of cornuti at its apex than the one on the main
tube of the vesica, in reverse of the situation in albistigma.
Geographical
range. Sumatra,
Borneo.
Habitat
preference. The
species is only known from four specimens from lowland rainforest (Labi, Ulu
Temburong) and dry heath forest (Telisai) in Brunei.
