Subgenus
Mythimna Ochsenheimer
Synonyms: Hyperiodes Warren and Philostola Billberg (type
species turca Linnaeus); Sablia Sukhareva (type species anderreggii
Boisduval, Europe).
This
small subgenus was recognised as distinct by Franclemont on the basis of male
genitalia features. The harpe and costal process are both strongly developed,
the corona is strong on a cucullus with a long neck. Trifine hair pencils are
present.
The
group is not represented in Borneo.
