Diagnosis. See intrahens above. The male
abdomen is lined laterally with dense tufts of scales, and the hindwings are
uniform brown rather than with a pale basal area (present in the female).
Geographical range. Borneo.
Habitat preference. The species has been recorded more
frequently than intrahens in recent surveys, occurring in forests from
300m to 2600m, but is rare below 1000m.
